About Us

A scenic view of boats on a clear blue ocean. — Elks Lodge
A scenic view of boats on a clear blue ocean.

Sit at a table on the rear lanai of Elks Lodge 616 and you will understand immediately why 796 reviewers keep coming back. The Pacific stretches out in front of you, unobstructed, the kind of view that costs three times as much at the resort hotels a few blocks away. Here it comes with a reasonably priced plate and a well-poured drink, which is a genuinely rare combination anywhere in Hawaii.

The lodge has divided its interior thoughtfully: a full-service restaurant with generous portions, a bar where the drinks are poured honestly, and gathering spaces that host the community events and charitable programs that have defined the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks for well over a century. This is a private club, so membership or a member's invitation gets you through the door, but those who make it in consistently describe the experience as one of the island's best-kept secrets.

Parking is handled through a paid lot with valet service, which makes the visit feel effortless even along busy Kalākaua Avenue. Whether you are a lifelong Elk or a first-time guest of a member, the combination of waterfront setting, honest food, and genuine camaraderie is something the rest of Waikīkī simply cannot replicate.

What We Offer

The restaurant at Lodge 616 runs on a straightforward promise: large portions, fair prices, and that ocean backdrop that turns an ordinary lunch into something you will talk about later. The menu is approachable and satisfying, the kind of food that complements a long afternoon watching the water rather than competing with it for attention.

Beyond the dining room, the lodge supports a full calendar of member programs including charitable initiatives, social events, and the fraternal activities central to Elks tradition nationwide. The bar is a gathering point in its own right, a place where members and their guests settle in, catch up, and enjoy drinks that are poured generously rather than timidly.

Valet parking through the on-site lot removes the usual Waikīkī headache of finding a space, and the club's private-club atmosphere means the crowd is consistently congenial. If you are not yet a member, reach out through elkslodge616.org to learn how to join or arrange a visit as a guest.

"The best restaurant view on the island for great value - must visit if you’re an Elk or know someone who is! Food is good, portions large, prices very reasonable for Hawaii and that view….right on the water, can sit outside at Waters’s edge, unbeatable for sunset. Fabulous pool and terrace area for hanging out all day too. Don’t miss it if you can get in."

"The Elks Lodge is a private club. Members are allowed to invite friends. The rear of the lodge faces the water. There is a paid parking lot with valet service. The interior of the lodge is divided into several sections. The entrance has a counter that verifies membership, handles lodge transactions and the gift shop. The main dining room has a hostess that assigns tables by reservation. There is a dance floor with live music. The menu is extensive with a separate section for desserts. There is a full bar. The service was very good. All the meals served were very good."

"We were invited by one of our new friends that is a member of this club. We met him in Hawaii, and I heard so much about Elks clubs both sides of the story. My experience at Elks club in Waikiki is very nice plus the view here is very romantic, beautiful with the warm sunset. Food is good, service is friendly except the front lady at the entrance before we enter into the building. Live music and people are dancing, very laid back and easy. I wish I didn't have a meal before, so I was still full at that time, so I only try snack and couple drinks, but it was so wonderful."

"Checked in as visiting Elks members. We enjoyed the pool area and outstanding view. Next we had dinner at a table right by the ocean. Our meal was delicious and the waiter friendly. Very enjoyable evening! The park with fountain and Diamond Head is just across the street. On a Saturday night, there was free musical concert."

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
